This ISTD project was entitled ‘Fickle Fads.’ A fad is short-lived, and has an intense and widely shared enthusiasm. The brief asked for the theme of fads to be studied in detail and required a printed output.
My response, ‘Polyamory is Greater than Monogamy,’ examined human relationship styles, and questioned how natural monogamy really is. Through the use of typographic expression, illustration and photography, this short book explains how science and history indicates that polyamory is the most instinctual and natural relationship style. Polyamory is also on the rise again, and not the fad we assume it to be.
This was a highly educational project to work on. It really helped evolve my skills in typographic play throughout other creative mediums.
